Reddit chuds seething right now :chefs-kiss: "Put him in an hospital" fucking lol these fuckers are constantly supporting the view that racing is inherently dangerous, Bundle is constantly saying there is a limit to safety otherwise you'd never race blah blah but since their favorite gamer doesn't know when to give up a corner ends in a barrier NOW safety is what matters.

This is all the excuse you need for all the racists to take their mask off. Their favorite gamer used to be called Crashtappen for a fucking reason.

They also act like we don't know they're the exact same fucking people who always break out the Senna quote on overtaking whenever Verstappen, Shchumacher, Leclerc, Vettel or whoever else did the exact same shit. I swear if Senna was a modern driver they'd fucking hate him.

Remember when VER two races ago slowed down immediately after finishing to do a burnout? Reddit didn't give a fuck.

        So, yes, you're exactly right.

Remember literally the corner before the crash today, when Verstappen did a dive bomb and forced Hamilton to back out at brooklands, and bumped wheels? Racing like that will bite you back eventually.

Also, maybe some of you recall r/Formula1's initial reaction to the Halo. Their concern for safety is purely feigned.

Yeah Hamilton has been backing out all season, giving Verstappen room, to avoid crashes, especially at the start of Spain and Imola races. The one time Hamilton doesn't back out there's a crash. Sure, the understeer was Hamilton's fault, but Verstappen should have backed out there.

undeniable proof that F1 would be a million times better if it wasn't 95% restricted to rich people

edit: also 95% white of course - it is not a coincidence that the best F1 driver ever is black and grew up poor; think how many more incredibly talented drivers that would blow away the current slate of competitors languish under poverty and racism

I think the move was kinda dirty tbh, but redditors will work themselves into gamergate levels of rage soon, oh well guess no f1 sub for me for next week

I mean Verstappen was driving ultra agressive at the start of the race. Schumi chop on Hamilton off the line, going off the track in turn 1 to maintain the lead, almost taking Hamilton's front wing off on the straight, divebomb into brooklands (turn 5) to keep the lead and forcing Hamilton to back out. Eventually Hamilton is not going to back out anymore, and this happens. The understeer was Hamilton's mistake, accident mostly his fault, but Verstappen has to take a bit of the blame. You can't drive the way he has the entire season without consequences. Hopefully he ends up okay though, it was a scary crash.

Verstappen always drove aggressive, so on one hand kinda taste of his own medicine vibe, on the other - hamilton behaved like a dick afterwards, should say sorry, lads, a mistake

          spoiler

or go full heel, say what I said about crashstappen, and be prepared for black faces at zandvoort, which might happen in any case

I mean the team didn't tell him about Verstappen going to the hospital. He found out about that first during an interview with ziggo sports. As far as Hamilton is aware it was a "normal" crash. They should have told him about it, and toned the celebrations down a bit. But leave it up to merc for over the top/inappropriate celebrations.

even if he was fine, after punting driver off he should be slightly apologetic, as with albon.

Oh well, after media shitstorm, driving should get spicy when they are nearby on track :inshallah:

The one time Hamilton doesn't back out this happens. Verstappen has been driving ultra agressive this season, forcing Hamilton off the track at Imola and Spain. Hamilton backed out then, but he's not going to back out anymore when he's 33 points behind in the championship. It's the same thing, but at higher speeds, Hamilton did to Vettel in 2018 at Monza when Ferrari where faster and Hamilton was under pressure. There's no way Hamilton is going to back out anymore.

Kinda random tangent: If you want to see a spectacular clip look up "Grosjean Bahrain 2020" or maybe "f1 fireball wreck 2020" they'll surely garner the same search results.
