As Android updates get faster, does it matter if they're also more sporadic?

Android updates as a whole have been getting way faster over the years, but they also seem to be getting more sporadic too.

Wait, we're seeing less frequent updates as a bad thing now? Sorry, but stability is something I really like about my phone.
