What does "going for a swim" have to do with the Soviets allegedly being terrified of F-15s?
US fighters recently have a habit of trying to become submarines, so they cope by the videos of old planes which supposedly crashed less (which is also untrue, in reality F15 had quite a lot accidents).
And btw Soviets were by no means scared by F-15, it was the other way, F-15 development was reaction of US Air Force being scared of Mig-23 and Mig-25. The idea was not bad though, Soviets appreciated it by making their own similar plane, Mig-29.
MiG-29 was more of an answer to F-16. The answer to F-15 was Su-27.
