After connecting to the internet, it suddenly stopped letting me open any "3rd party apps" before updating the system. It literally won't let me run anything that isn't from the windows app store or whatever it's called. This includes rufus which I need to make a new bootable USB for reinstalling linux.

Updates do not work. There's a link that says click here if you want to run 3rd party apps anyway, but the link is dead.

:trump-anguish: Thank you planned obsolescence, very cool. (I managed to install linux again via a different computer so now I'm back posting shit :PIGPOOPBALLS: )

W*ndows is the worst, tried to dual boot after many years of linux only. Got my linux partition installed, booted back into the windows partition the laptop shipped with, and windows wanted to update. After the update, it had wiped out the boot loader. I went ahead an wiped the whole drive and just installed linux because at least that shit works.

I didn't do it that way, the thinkpad had W10 on it and I installed Linux, then W10 updated and fucked the bootloader. I never installed W10 (and I never will :joker-gaming: )
