So from what I've seen, in the few weeks since they were initially put up, they have been removed. That said, I didn't closely follow the story nor have I been to a park lately, so I could be wrong.
Yeah from what I understand at least. I only see more about going over better ways to implement them while still planning to move forward with the project

Only the most egregious were removed with plans for a more well thought out installation. The Parks Dept. still plans to move forward with this
