Hi all,

Sadly I have bad news to go with the good news. Hextube works with twitch. Find a stream, add it on twitch with an obscure tag, add it to hex tube. It works.

Bad news. It’s super low quality if I do it. My internet is bad enough on a regular use case. I tested it earlier tonight and it was uni as ale despite the fact it worked.

If you are willing to volunteer to use your good internet to host our live sports nights, if able. I’m afraid thats the only way I’ve found to make it work. I am not tech savvy enough to implement the self-hosted server option. If you are, hmu please.

Cheers all, just wanted to provide an update.

I had it up for over an hour under the test drive(2004) tab for over an hour. It sucked because I can’t stream good. But it stayed up.

i certainly have the technical knowhow to do this but i don't fully understand the workflow you're describing. I know how Twitch works, but I don't know how Hextube works and I don't know where these streams are coming from. Are the streams already being broadcasted on Twitch? Or are you finding them somewhere else, restreaming to Twitch and then watching the Twitch stream through Hextube?

      I hope this makes sense:

      1. Hextube is able to use twitch links
      2. Therefore, If a person streams something on twitch, it is capable of being streamed on hextube.
      3. I found a live-stream of the event and used twitch to stream the window I was using.
      4. Hextube registered this and it worked, but my internet fucking sucks and nobody would have called it usable.
      5. My guess is if a person with better internet tried to do it, it would work.
