I just tried to pirate Skyrim on my PC but when I tried to play the game it just opened steam. I figured out I need to crack the game which I have no clue how to do. I've tried searching the internet for a guide and none of them helped me. If anyone could direct me to a guide that would be much appreciated. Thank you.

FitGirl Repacks are reliable in my experience. They have their own installer and are already cracked upon installation. You just need a torrent client to download them

Typically, back in the day you had to muck about with image files, keygens, manually copying over cracks, and stuff like that, but today there's lots of people/groups (FitGirl, DODI, CorePack, RG Mechanics, ...) that make repacks which are much simpler to deal with - you just run an installer, maybe select some options, and you're done, the cracking is handled automatically. FitGirl repacks are pretty good, but at least on my PC the bigger ones tend to install incredibly slowly, and I generally prefer other repacks which are larger in size but install faster.

There's also sites like IGGGames which allow you to download games directly as archives (often split in several parts for bigger games), without having to bother with torrents. I'd say torrenting is generally better as long as there's seeds, since the various sites they use to host often have various limits on bandwith and speed, and are probably best visited with an adblocker unless it's something well-established like MEGA or Drive, but they're a good option if you're in a country where torrenting without a VPN can bring you trouble. Once again, things are much simpler than the olden days - these often come pre-cracked, and might even be pre-installed - you just have to unpack the archive and you're good to go.

If you're going to be torrenting, then it helps to know which sites to look for stuff in. I've had decent success with finding games on 1337x.to, and qbittorrent also allows you to install a built-in torrent search engine with dozens of plugins for various sites, so you can find stuff directly from there. You didn't clarify how you downloaded Skyrim, so I'm not sure how familiar you are with torrenting, so feel free to ask if that's also something you're new to.

An issue with games that are still getting updated is that the available downloads might not have the latest update, so in some cases you might have to pay attention if there's a version mentioned in the torrent, and make sure to get the latest one. If you stick to playing older games though, you'll rarely run into any such issues. Skyrim used to be a done deal, but then Bethesda decided to rerelease the game a dozen times, and I haven't really played it since before the Special Edition, so I'm not sure how things are for it now.

Generally when you torrent the game, there will be another folder in the directory from where you started the install, usually labeled crack, or after the scene group that cracked it, such as Razor, nosteam, codex, cpy, rld, etc.

You'll copy the files, usually a couple of dlls from there over to the main folder, and overwrite the DLLs in the installed game folder.

Thank you. Do I need to turn off my anti virus for there to be a crack file?

Some antivirus will overreact about it, but most of the time it won't, or you'll just need to tell the antivirus to ignore that one file. I'd look up what it's complaining about, as the fact that it so commonly overreacted to files for piracy could potentially be used as a vector to sneak actual malicious files onto the computer and get you to think the antivirus is just freaking out over nothing. This is rare though.

Hate to say it but Skyrim might be worth paying for, playing with mods is basically essential and the steam workshop has a ton of mods you can't get off of Nexus.

I usally get mines from https://igg-games.com. There are usually several different procedures for different game cracks so I don't think I be of much help on the "in general" aspect but if you're still having troubles with Skyrim (or any other game) feel free to shoot me a DM and I'll gladly see if I can be of help.
