Idk I didnt live through it either but the above social contract was at least present for white people between 1950-1990 linkfedilink
Remember the good old days, when the Anglosphere had the productive forces, and all we needed to do was seize them?
Not to dox myself, but I'm less than a century old. I don't know what it is like to live through those times.
Imagine being able to buy a house within 2-3 years of working on a single wage and being able to afford to have a family comfortably.
