A Music Production is self explanatory. I want to moderate it so it doesn't turn into every production subreddit where people spam their soundcloud links. I'd like it to be more discussion based and be able to make sure it is a good place to talk about recording music.

Marx Movie Club would be each week/month, the community votes on a movie to watch, and then during that week we analyze, discuss, debate, criticize, etc it through the lens of Marxism. Maybe some of the movies can have scheduled "screenings" where everyone watches at the same time and chats during it.

Yeah I think it'd be fun! It'd be a reading group but for movies. We watch the movie each Sunday (for example) together on whatever site, and people can watch it on their own time if they'd like. Then for the week, people can discuss the movie, point out themes that relate to Marxism. And/or discuss the movie's general politics, ask questions inspired by the movie, discuss the cultural relevance of the movie, review/critique the performances, direction, dialogue, score, etc.

I like discussing movies in depth and I think it'd be fun to talk about them with other leftists. Sure we could watch Parasite, Sorry To Bother You other obvious titles but I think it'd be more fun and interesting to watch movies that aren't blatantly political. Off the top of my head, i'd be interested in watching/discussing The Florida Project, that Shia LaBeouf movie where he plays his own father, Nightcrawler, We Need To Talk About Kevin, Capharnaüm ( My #1 choice - it's a great movie).

Plus some "fun ones" like uh...Borat? Napoleon Dynamite? Matilda? Some classics like the Dr. Strangelove, Little Women, Planet of The Apes, The Shining (i'd like to do a double feature of The Shining and that documentary about the weird conspiracy theories people have about it). I'd also like to watch some documentaries, Werner Herzog made one about Gorbachev which I haven't seen but could be interesting. Any of Werner Herzog's movies would be great choices. The Amy Winehouse documentary is ripe for discussion of fame/celeberity/addiction/the media. And of course it'd be fun to watch some bad/reactionary/right-wing christian movies too. I bet we could find some really terrible movies to watch.

I'd be a mod, but I wouldn't want to do it alone. Sorry for the scatterbrained comment, i'm kinda just brainstorming here.

If anyone has any film suggestions, I can start a list. Don't worry if it's not streaming. We could find a copy and put it on Soulseek or something.
