That thread seriously had me :agony-immense:

Like seriously, why assume China bad and agree with the western headlines when you could instead wait and see what China actually does. But no, everyone who wants actual evidence of the central government moving to ban abortion is uncritically supporting. One (bad) local law from one region aimed at reducing sex-selective abortion is proof enough of their nefarious intentions to imply everyone who says otherwise is a China shill.

The exact same line about reducing abortion has been in the plan since 2001. Given that it hasn't been restricted since except by one regional authority, this is in fact evidence that China is not moving to restrict abortion.

Some people use "critical support" means "never charitably assume, always err on the side of guilt". If the central government begins to limit abortion, then I'll criticize. I'm certainly not going to agree with a lying Guardian, substanceless article lol.

      Based twitter account:

That said, should China make rules limiting access to abortions, I'll translate them for you and make them widely available with detailed criticism.

The funny thing is, that Twitter account isn’t even communist. It just does translation of topical Chinese law. In doing so, it often ends up having to run contrary to mainstream narratives. Its coverage of social credit is one such case.

When a random Twitter liberal has a better understanding of "critical support" than a non-zero number of Hexbear users, you know there's something wrong.
