With the EAC port coming, it's a much easier sell to anyone who has heard of Linux but never bothered to make the switch due to gaming support. I can sell it to my friends who are a bit nerdy as "Linux support for gaming is as good as it's ever been, running windows at this point is like being a car guy who can't drive stick" or something like that

Ironically driving stick is less fuel efficient than computer-controlled automatic transmissions

Me, a driver who insists on driving stick: :wojak-nooo:

I mean trying to set up the extra buttons on my mouse took an hour of googling last time I made the switch so it still kinda applies haha

manjaro is great for newer people solely for pamac and the AUR making everything doable through the GUI. Every other distro I've tried has needed the command line for adding external repos, ppas, or installing more technical packages. It's less stable overall and a bunch of new users using the AUR is potentially dangerous but overall if someone is trying to casually use and game on linux I think manjaro is a pretty good choice.

I'm not a g*mer, but I do have a collection of games in my Steam library. Games like Return of the Obra Dinn, Workers & Resources, Monaco, Scythe, etc. Literally had no problems running any of these titles I bought as the windows version on Linux.

I feel this isn't an issue for folks who have a Steam library but aren't for real g*mers.

I like being on Ubuntu. I'm more glad that I don't have to go through a ton of hoops to get my games running cause Steam does a lot of the technical stuff for me. It's nice.
