I disagree, its much easier to minecraft people than it is to persuade them, thats exactly the reason they wage war. You just can't persuade someone out of their material interests.
Individuals, I agree. But not groups, not masses of people. Wars are fought because the people who architect them will benefit. The people who fight can be radicalised and persuaded. The people at the top can’t.
But also, I feel with more and more development in sociology, biology and ecology, it’s harder and harder for anyone to argue that capitalism is beneficial at all. Even to the guys at the top. They will likely die with the rest of us just the same.
