It's a solemn role and the singer gets to retire early on a full pension to recover from the ordeal. There are some other precautions but I can't remember the details.
They usually show forests or fields in Ireland while most of the scenes in rest of Europe take place in big cities
It's a legal requirement. Any recording of Ireland has to show that the English aren't hiding in the bushes.
