Soon we reach 2024 and i wish you the best for the new year. I think there are some interresting game annoynced for 2024. So what jrpg's, regardless of old or new, do you plan to play?
I finish Star Ocean the second Story are probably today or tomorrow, so in januar i finsih for sure Final Fantasy 16 and want to finish my second Nier Replicant playthrough. But i mostly play newer games, so the games i'm interrested in are following:
- Persona 3 Reload: I thought about playing another version, but i will go with this version and probably play another version later
- Unicorn Overlord
- Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
- Persona 5 Tactica: was a bithday present, so i'm sure i will play this soon
Besides that i probably play some older game to get up to date, still missing some trails games and we get daybreak as well.
I want to play Chrono Trigger the first time to get somthing older as well. And if we get Methaphor, that's on my list for sure as well.
Is that the original or remake Star Ocean 2? The new one seemed interesting but I haven't gotten around to playing it.
I'm playing Secret of Mana 2 (Seiken Densetsu 3) mostly for nostalgia and because I don't have a good computer right now. Combat and UI is clunkier than I remembered it.
I play Star Ocean the Second Story R, didn't name it correctly, so it's the remake. I think it's interresting and a good retro game with newer optic. I can't really play the old Mana games anymore because of the aged combat. But liked them in the past.
More of the old Atelier games, hopefully. For new stuff, I'm most interested in Trails through Daybreak, Eiyuden Chronicle, Metaphor: ReFantazio, and Unicorn Overlord. There are bound to be a couple of surprises along the way this year that I'll try.
My 2024 plans are:
- Star Ocean: First Departure R
- Final Fantasy III and IV Pixel Remasters
- Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition
- Chrono Trigger
- Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Intergrade DLC, and Crisis Core
- Final Fantasy XVI
- Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail
We'll see how many of those I actually complete...
Nice list, have fun with those games. I played Star Ocean the first Departure R last year and had fun with it.
