And right wingers in the US will continue to lump them together with Iran even though Iran is their biggest counterweight in the region, cause muslims are scary and all totally the same

ISIS have been known to falsely claim responsibility for attacks sometimes. I am not saying this was definitely not them but in my opinion it is more likely that they are being used as a cover for the obvious perpetrators which are the US and the Zionist entity. Though either way it makes little difference because we know ISIS, AQ, HTS, MEK, etc. are all just tools of the same aforementioned culprits.

Very very plausible. Even if we accept the claim at face value, it just proves that their interests align.

We went to the "ISIL Announcements Website" which we closely monitor and never attempt to disrupt. The ISIL Deputy of Terrorism Operations made an update to the website that says "Actually this was inter-Arab violence, the Israelis didn't do anything. Heck, Iran probably bombed themselves. Us Arabs are crazy and do that shit all the time."

So we took a screenshot of website and forwarded it to our top ISIL coverage news desk, where we carefully vetted the report against all our other ISIL contacts. And once we were satisfied with the corroboration of the evidence, we released it our main audience - Western Liberals - to assure them that Iran has no reason to be mad at us, and would actually be really antisemitic to blame Israel for this.
