Lobbying is corruption with American characteristics
I feel like it's just regular corruption.
Mr. Palchinsky obstructed every measure intended for curbing the capitalists and their marauding practices, their plundering of the state by means of war contracts; and since later on Mr. Palchinsky, upon resigning from the Cabinet (and being, of course, replaced by another quite similar Palchinsky), was “rewarded” by the capitalists with a lucrative job with a salary of 120,000 rubles per annum — what would you call that? Direct or indirect bribery?
Ever since I've started reading State and Rev it's wild to me how much changes and stays the same.
Corruption is when you take bribes from and do favors for your friends and family, lobbying is when you do it with strangers you hate so it's all good.
