No! Chad is right! To get into comics just pick up the first one that looks cool and figure it out as you go! Every comics reader ever has done that pretty sure. A few might have done a wiki binge first idk.
Yeah there is a ton of pretty self contained stories in comic books you could read. Omnibus stuff etc.
Wiki check after You go “huh, what is this thing they are talking about” If you are not able to use context clues.
You can’t be friends with someone until you know their entire history, and the history of everyone in their life. Once you have that.. you can start being their friend.
