Less Wrong is "The Yud's" personal website, started after Overcoming Bias split up. It's 99.99995% weird post-transhumanist nerds who are so alienated and disaffected they make 3 new types of reactionary a second until they decay into either a standard Nazi or the sort of Marxist-Leninist who feels Zhdanov needed to more tightly control ideology in the SU.
A wannabe cult leader and rambling autodidact wrote a long series of blog posts on AI and human rationality, with quality varying from genuinely useful, to a 32-part series explaining quantum mechanics incorrectly, to weird half-written fiction snippets. All written like a self-help guru who's ironically-not-ironically playing at being an old wise hermit who descended from the mountains with a divine revelation. The divine revelation is that Bayes' Theorem is neat, btw.
And if that's not bad enough, the wannabe cult leader left like 10 years ago, and lesswrong is whatever losers are still clinging to his fucking blog.
i only vaguely know what rokos basilisk is, what the fuck is lesswrong?

how can you be a post-transhumanist when transhumanism isn’t even a fully formed thing yet

that’s not even putting the cart before the horse, that’s hopping in the cart and leaving the horse behind
Welcome to LessWrong, who are to that like JS Bach is to Fugues.
A "rationalist" technology cult that collects donations from the creepiest billionaires on the planet.

There's more sources but they're POSITIVE about the donations and I'd rather not get some :so-true: malware from them.
