I was thinking of the Middle East from Iran to UAE. I'm Marxist-Leninist but the people I know who support Russia aren't. People work out their politics here from Palestine. The US abuse of its veto in support of Israel is a big reason why it is hated and people want another system.
The one thing I don't get is the UAE's angle given its good relations with the US and Israel, but perhaps they too have something to gain.
Good point. When you live outside the west, you don't have to be a ML to understand what a horror show US empire is. With regards to UAE, I imagine it's largely the military dependence on US.
