My first campaign ad, ‘37 Seconds.’ #JustLikeMeI hope this ad works to not only destigmatize the use of marijuana, but also forces a new conversation that creates the pathway to legalize this beneficial drug, and forgive those who were arrested due to outdated ideology. pic.twitter.com/G0qKvmUGKD— Gary Chambers (@GaryChambersJr) January 18, 2022
I’m not saying we should vote for him, I think electoralism is is pointless. I mean, I’d vote for him, but only because voting for a guy who smoked a blunt on camera in his campaign ad would be cool and funny, not because I think he’d actually be like a really impactful socialist or anything. I just think this is funny.
Pretty lib it looks like but this part from his campaign site caught my eye:
His candidacy is a response to thousands in Louisiana and across the country urging him to be a voice for them in the Senate. One that can bring the type of change that reaches working-class people in tangible ways.
Acknowledging class and material conditions makes him instantly better than most of the democratic party.
Cool, but otherwise how much of a lib is he?
Probably really lib but who cares
It’s not like that senate seat is going to a Maoist
Ehh, that's the same logic as voting for Biden.
But still he at least seem a little better than most Dems.

Acknowledging that the drug war is part of racism puts him miles ahead of most liberals.

The squad but for the senate
Yeah, I mean it's cool but it's good to acknowledge the reality too.
