It was never fleshed out, but I really liked the setting of this one. The American metropolitan options are now limited to Seattle/a non-Floridian southern city/a rust belt city. Everything else is either done already or too close to California/New York/Florida. The series is reaching the point of creative exhaustion where it needs to go international or turn its American chud audience feral in a way satirising GTA 3-era neocons didn't do.

Thatcher could be in it, she was an MP in 1961.

Let me shoot Thatcher Rockstar. You like controversy that causes media, do it.

Fun trivia, in 1961 she voted in favour of restoring Birching as a form of corporal punishment.

        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Border_campaign_(Irish_Republican_Army)

A doomed military campaign that preserved the IRA into the late 1960s. I want to go yachting in an expansion pack with that setting up the fun characters. Plus the Cold War, recent Mau Mau Uprising/West Indies Federation dooming the empire, end to post-war austerity, red scare versus Trots and the Sino-Soviet split left, and the early start of international Anglophilia. The guns and cars are cool, with WW2 surplus still flooding the civilian market. The organised crime has totally different nationality alignments than American gangs. It's a really interesting time for making a big picture of a dying society.

        edit:

The most dramatic attack of the whole campaign took place on 1 January: 14 IRA volunteers, including Séan Garland, Alan O Brien and Dáithí Ó Conaill planned an attack on a joint RUC/B Specials barracks in Brookeborough, County Fermanagh, though they attacked the wrong building. During the attack a number of volunteers were injured including Séan Garland. Fergal O'Hanlon and Seán South died of their wounds as they were making their escape. The remainder of the group were pursued back over the border by 400 RUC, B Specials and British soldiers.[27] The funerals of South and O’Hanlon in the Republic produced a strong emotional reaction among the general public there. The two men are still considered martyrs in Irish Republican circles.[28] Up to 50,000 people attended their funerals.

That's like the bank robbery mission in GTA IV. It's made for this series.
