    Pretty sure US is now running low on munitions given that much of the existing stocks have been used up in Ukraine, and US lack industrial capacity to replenish them in the near future. So, there's likely limited amount of bombing US can do, but seems that having an actual war would make the problem far worse.

      Not to mention that Iran has an actual air defense system that they have invested rather heavily into unlike all the other countries the US bombed. Old school carpet bombing is off the table as flying expensive aircraft over Iran is simply too much risk for too little gain. Missile strikes would also be complicated by having travel to longer distances then in Ukraine/Russia, requiring more expensive longer range missiles that could be shot down more easily.

        Yeah, Iran has an actual modern military, strong industrial base, and support from Russia and China. US is in no position to try and roll over Iran like they did with Iraq.
