Hi all, the lfg thread isn't exactly active so I decided maybe a post would work better. I'm new to gm'ing and also want to learn PF2e, so what better way than straight into the deep end? Here's the pitch:

I want to run agents of edgewatch, but without any of the fantasy good cops bullshit. Instead, it'll be Agents of Edgewatch, Absalom Reno 911. The players will be proper cops, dangerous violent psychopaths constantly threatening harm to themselves, their communities, and everyone around them. Racist as shit, but only against fantasy races (think along the lines of calling elves knife eared cunts). Players who take uncommon races will be considered 'diversity hires' by their peers. Ultimately underfunded and understaffed yet tasked with overseeing the safety of a massive festival, to disastrous results.

Wanna role play some shitty cops and play pathfinder? This is the game for you. Everything is up in the air right now, but I'd love to find some players and get rolling. Everyone is welcome, though it would be nice to get at least one person who has PF2e experience to help me and everyone else learn and keep the game going smoothly.

Warning: will contain lots of explicit content including, but not limited to: drug use, power abuse, all sorts of isms (sexism, racism, classism, etc...), and general police brutality.

Welcome aboard, having to teach a system to someone with 0 experience will force me to learn it even better. I'll dm you when we have enough players and we can start organizing sessions.

It's crunchier. There's a lot more options for character customization, your major decisions are at every level, not just pick a subclass and go. The math isn't bounded (unless changed with house rules), your proficiency bonus is just your level. So the highest level character (20) is adding +20 to every roll they make for something they are proficient in. Lot's more rules that explain how to do specific actions so the GM doesn't have to come up with things on the fly.

There's lots of small subtle differences, but crunch with bigger numbers really hits the heart of it imo.

Welcome to the group then. It looks like we're at about 3 newbie players plus myself, a newbie GM. I'm going to ask around and see if I can find an experienced player to join the party. I'll dm you once things can really get moving.

That's awesome, we could really use the experience. I just finished reading through the AP. I'm going to send out discord invites to everyone tomorrow or Friday, and we'll start planning properly from there. Glad to have you on board.
