Doubt anyone else on hexbear is playing UOAlive rn but my Paladin needs help and I'm not sure if I can trust other players on this shard. Otherwise I'm going to have to make a lock picking character to help out.
I am not playing, because I didn't know UO was still kicking. But now I certainly want to be playing.
My Paladin's Name is Oled Nim in game, I'm super new just started 2 days ago, trying to save up for a house.
https://www.classicuo.eu/ this client, already has an option to connect to UOAlive the shard I'm playing on.
Cool, PM me when you do and we can go to the newbie dungeon or something, Despise Dungeon is tough enough for me as is.
One of the saddest gamer moments of my life was finding out they cancelled UO2.
You could have played a cat-person. In 2001. Literally the saddest thing to happen that year.
I still have a Grim Faeries mix CD hiding in my house somewhere.
Never played UO back in the day so I don't have any knowledge of it's planned sequel outside of seeing some screenshots in a gaming mag and thinking it looked kind of generic.
Yeah, now, a full twenty years after the MMO genre has burned out.
Well at the time I was big into Everquest and it's graphics totally wowed me. Funny to think those were cutting edge at one point.
I dipped my toe into UO, got really excited about the sequel, but spent most of my time in the Asheron's Call Beta and then Dark Age of Camelot.
Compared to what you could get on a console - stuff from Mario 64 to Halo - it all felt kinda mid. But it was definitely the visual edge of the 1st-Gen MMOs.
DAOC is on my bucket list of games to play, but I'm no good at pvp games tho
Yeah. There are definitely better reimplementations of the PvP model, too.
I was really excited for Crowfall, for a while. Then I blinked and missed it. Ah well...
