If you cut latitude-wise, horizontally, the hard bits around the seeds are much smaller. I did it for a while and it leaves you with the stem, seeds, and the little leafy bits on the bottom. This was also around the same time I first experimented with just eating the fuzzy kiwi skin too.
I eat the entire apple. Apple cores are a social construct.
they also contain cyanide and I think arsenic too. and while they won't kill you in that quantity, they aren't exactly good for you either.
Mostly the seeds, iirc. You don't want to eat a lot of apple seeds. The rest of the core is just chewier apple.
