Real Madrid have completed the refined petroleum products collection, beating PSG, Chelsea and Man City.

Truly the king of defeating the plastics

I actually really love that the biggest football club in the world is fan owned. It's why I'll always root for them when they're going against English clubs and others like them.

All Bundesliga clubs are fan owned, btw!

La Liga has a good theoretical model of fan ownership, but their are some problems with it in practice (see Barcelona).

I know. The club I support (FC Porto) is fan owned but we've also had a few problems in recent years due to our president getting very old (he's 84 now and has been president for 40 years) but because it was him that basically transformed our club it's hard for fans to see that he's destroying a bit of his legacy. Overall though I'd rather it be this way than it being like the English clubs that feel soulless, even Liverpool aren't the same as they once were and if my club was ever sold I think I'd stop supporting them.

Edit: Also the Bundesliga has a few exceptions like Wolfsburg (Volkswagen), Leverkusen (Bayer), Hoffenheim (Dietmar Hopp) and Leipzig (Red Bull) and they're all hated by other teams.

I've been watching Bundesliga for the last two years. They have great support up and down the table. If I ever have enough money, I'd love to go watch a Dortmund or Koln match.

Yeah, Madrid is owned by socios (members of the club) of which there are 60,000. Barcelona, Athletic Bilbao, and. Osasuna are also supporter owned as far as Spain goes. In the German top division, all clubs are fan owned except for a select few that were founded by workers of certain uh companies ie Bayer Leverkusen (of Bayer Pharma) and Wolfsburg (of Volkswagen); there are two who are straight up owned by a mega corp (Red Bull Leipzig) and a billionaire (Hoffenheim).

England and Italy have no fan owned club in their top division. :england-cool: :anti-italian-action:

Though this says that Perez wrote in a clause that ensures he is nearly impossible to be removed

Between 2016 and 2018 city spent 700 million on transfers. They've spent over 100 million 8 out of the last 10 years. Just pure joy when they get bounced

They have to spend to catch up tbf. Before them, Madrid were breaking record spending left and right

Actually, that's one of the most interesting things. Madrid has had the most success historically when they aren't fielding a "galacticos" team. Their team is 25th globablly in cost right now, behind mid-tier premiership sides--and look at the results!

Their veteran still able to perform at a world class level, the like Modric, Kroos, Benzema still a beast, which is why they still running. But I have to admit, Ancelotti did a good job with the youngster, he’s a genius for not only abandon a sinking ship in England, but able to turn this madrid team around

And it was all for the CL. Their ambitions are so warped any other trophy is just another cup to collect their bitter tears in.

I’m trying to make a joke about how they were funded by the fascist government and I can’t think of a good one.

The last goal was in extra time, so it wasn't actually 5 minutes but the first two were at the 90th and 91st minutes of regular time with their first 2 shots on target in the whole game.
