I took that one a dozen of times, but it's not usually seen in my part of Switzerland. Anyone who likes trains, would love it here. No need for cars whatsoever. Trains, trams, busses, trolleybuses, inclined rails, even ferries to get you over the lake to the other side of the city are used. Around this time of year, they take out the old choo-choo train, for one weekend a month, and drive it between the city and nearby wilderness park, just for fun and weekend trips to wilderness.
BTW for around hefty $340 a month, you can use them all, from trains to lake ferries, anywhere in Switzerland. Within cities or between them, just hop on and off as you like. Pretty cool.
Funnily enough, I am still getting called out by the Swiss, because I am using public transport, instead of a bicycle.
