I've also talked with people that made software for rockets, they too were doing jobs for money and are all normal people; if you wanna put a wall of separation between worker and work, i'm with you, but if you're unwilling to concede that military contractors are not innocent (which you shouldn't) then i'm unwilling to concede fintech devs are innocent
they're in a generally overpaid field of work, but choose nothing but the most overpaid work (by the standards of that field) there is, with deep negative consequences for the rest of society
