I would trust hexbear to do it more than imgur. Imgur has a strong incentive to sell user data to third parties, so even if they scrub metadata from your files so that other imgur consumers can't spy on you, imgur itself probably keeps the metadata somewhere private like a database and sells it to third parties as a commodity.
