My question:
Is it normal using cutlery always hurts? Every single time I use knife, fork of spoon for anything else but scooping something soft, it hurts. It's been like this my entire life. Are people really in pain every time they eat without anyone speaking of it????
I have skin issues, but nothing diagnosed.
I wouldn’t be surprised if you have psoriatic arthritis. But you should probably consult a physician.
Thanks, I'll bear that in mind for when if I ever have access to remotely competent doctors. Thank you.
Any time. You might want to consider getting adaptive utensil holders. Look at some online and see how they’re held. Might be helpful.
Those don't look like they'd help with the pain at all though.
I’m not trying to sound flippant here or anything, but if holding cutlery or similar objects like scissors causes you pain, then what’s the harm in trying to manipulate those objects in a different way? The worst that can happen is it doesn’t solve the problem.
