Hey there. I posted some stuff from my blog a while back on c/games and I didn't realize we had a c/ttrpg now. I've had a lot of issues and quite a writer's block since then, but I still want to write about a lot of things.
One of the things I started writing about before my hiatus was fantasy cosmology. So here I am to ask if anyone here had any of their own stuff or writing about it, any good recommendations, or just thoughts about it.
It's a bit old now and my thinking has changed a little since then, but it'll still explain it pretty well : part 1 and part 2.
Basically, I'm trying to redefine a good foundation for your typical medieval-fantasy cosmology. A foundation that makes more sense anthropologically (if even broadly), and that's a better fit for a dialectical materialistic and historical materialistic angle, to get away from all the old brainwormed crap.
This goes with my general goal of making my own setting. Making your own setting from scratch is hard so I'm starting with a setting i'm familiar with and that I'm enjoying more and more (Golarion, Pathfinder 1e/2e, specifically what they've done for 2e), and slowly modifying/rewriting things to my liking.
I feel like posting about this here might help me to overcome the block. Is this something that interests you? What do you think of med-fan cosmology and how it might be changed/rewritten in a better way? Would you want to collaborate in some way and share some notes, co-write some little text or article or just throw some fun ideas around?
