The very same Palestinians we're being promised would gut us if they had the chance.

Addendum but not related to Palestine:

While libs back on blue stormfront were actually defending Trump when he was tossing around the idea of invading Venezuela, back in 2005 Venezuela and Cuba offered aid to Americans after Hurricane Katrina: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2005/9/5/venezuela-and-cuba-offer-us-aid

International solidarity between Black and brown people has lead to us today with the majority of USians supporting a ceasefire. It's how we're at the point where Israel is recognized as a settler-colonial apartheid state oppressing an indigenous population. Never in my life has there been so much support for Palestinians and so much opposition to Israel!

Israel will lose this war on every level. There's potential that it will be dismantled, especially if it keeps trying to escalate with Hezzbolah. Hamas was right to stage the October 7 attack. It is very saddening to see so many Palestinians suffer due to the war, but it was either this or slow genocide while the rest of the Arab world (and rest of the world) befriends Israel.

Israel is constantly losing soldiers, who are mostly untrained, and equipment, which is quite expensive, while notoriously being one of the most casualty-averse armies in the world. Settlers are constantly leaving to their home countries. The Israeli government is trying to expand the war to Hezzbolah, which will be disastrous for them and will probably lead them into losing the Golan heights and northern Israel. The warcrimes of Israel have been exposed for the world to see, to the extend where the entire global South is now against them, as well as their Western benefactors. And as you said, the majority of people everywhere are now sensitized to what Palestinians are going through.

I hope and think you are correct. Ultra violence has always been part of the colonial tool bag, but it's just that we get to see it now. This is a bad thing on a personal/ mental health level but good on a strategic, warning level. I hope everyone in the global south realizes they have to organize and build strength because as capitalism decays, this is what it does.

On a similar note, one thing the comprador Gulf state cowards in the region should know is what Nasrallah recently said in a speech, paraphrasing, "the sheep are happy a different sheep was chosen for slaughter today, but they should know it will be them tomorrow".

Gaza is the west setting an example of anyone daring to be even a fraction of equal. It's not even three fifths anymore. That's it, they are showing us the lack of mercy they will have if anyone stands up for themselves. That's how it's all connected.

There is no impact of applying remorse to things that happened decades or centuries ago. That's just narcissism. That's liberals for you.
