MLB commissioner Rob Manfred said Tuesday he "reject[s] the premise" that minor league players are not paid a living wage, prompting a barrage of criticism a day after the Senate Judiciary Committee in a letter inquired about treatment of minor leaguers.

They make between $4800 and $14,700 annually, and are only paid during the season. But they get a free homestay so they have that going for them
