come on pirates get up your game I want my fucking mods especially since valve has no fucking right to content people are fucking making for free
steamworkshop.download sucks ass and continues to serve old versions or, in the case of an older version of the mod I want which was uploaded, literally just doesn't download anything (it just says some bullshit about free space instead of giving a download link)
I can't do it the "legit way" because I don't have 10000 fucking dollars to spend on Europa Universalis and all its bullshit DLCs that the mod I wanna play FUCKING NEEDS
I was gonna suggest using steamcmd to just pull the files by id, but anonymous downloads are apparently blocked for EU (I tried it and it spits out "error: download failed" with no more details), unlike mods for Kenshi, Conan Exiles, and Rimworld all of which can be pulled that way.
can anybody get me a version of anbennar that works for 1.33.3 because the one on steamworkshop.download just fucking crashes

I think there's something fucked with my install or something because I have the same problem with the trade goods mod crashing on startup, plus this weird issue where the New Traditions and Ambitions event doesn't swap my national ideas. Idk what's up with the latter, because I can work around it by adding a swap_free_idea_groups (drunk, might have the wording wrong) line to another event, i.e. the comet event, trigger that with console, and boom my ideas swap. But that line is present for the new traditions event, it just doesn't work.
I've tried reinstalling though and it hasn't made a difference for either issue. The only other mods i'm using are monuments/missions expanded and random new world improvements, but obviously i've got those turned off to try anbennar :/

EUIV goes on sale for 4$ periodically. After workshopdownloader.io stopped working, I just bought the base game and then was able to transfer all the mods that get downloaded from the steam mod folder over to the pirated game mod directory.
It's not perfect, but it works.

Okay I got anbennar working with an older 1.32 installation but now for some fucking reason the script I use to force the game to use WASD to move the map doesn't fucking work, I don't get it, it's supposed to work any time eu4.exe is running but woops it isn't
