I think their music is great, but I’d like to hear other people’s opinion
Yeah, they're pretty good. Like most 80s British metal bands, it probably isn't a good idea to look up their modern politics though. I don't know if they are actually bad or not, just that it's a great way to realise that one of your favourite bands is now a group of curmudgeonly old men who have very poor understandings of more modern social issues.
I first discovered it with the cover by Death at the end of their last album (I'm too young to have experienced the popularity of traditional heavy metal so I didn't know anything about it)
Since it wasn't explicitly written I assumed it was them who wrote it.
It's crazy that a NWBHM band wrote a song so futuristic that a death metal band could just play it, change nothing at all in the riffs, and make it an absolutely seamless entry to one of their albums
it's a thrash metal song released in 1990, I think it's less "futuristic" and more an OG metal band showing they can beat the younger guys at their own game
Oh right it's more recent than I thought! I wouldn't have called it thrash but eh genre debate is pointless who cares
Anyway big respect
Napalm death are the superior (and more communist) british metal band from the 80s

I've seen them live in Halifax, Canada. They began the show by bringing a motorcycle on stage and revving it. It was awesome to see them play but the bike was the most memorable thing lol. I had a good time. Oh and the band Mastodon was on first, who were also excellent.
