Even though the game includes a lot of Soviet-inspired hardware (like the Stayputnik), none of the available default flags looked very communist.

    Yes to both. There are three game modes:

    • Sandbox mode. Everything is unlocked and free.
    • Science mode. Start with a few techs and earn science points to unlock more.
    • Career mode. Like Science mode, but you also have to complete missions for money.
