Funny thing is that Palestine actually has a long history of democracy, even if it isn't liberal (nor leftist), up until 2007 the free Palestinean territories had leadership that was voted in. Sadly the "Israelis" constantly intervene to fuck it up, forcing Hamas to rule in an authoritarian way in Gaza (but even then tried to return to one Palestine state in 2015). That being said, most people in the West Bank are not happy with the Palestinean Authority (which is notoriously corrupt), but most people in Gaza have been happy with Hamas.
