I discovered one of the people who was running for councillor in my Canadian city who backed out halfway into it was wanting to audit and partially defund the cops. Was a nice surprise at least one person who's not a bootlicker was running. He was super-normie about it too because it's just some guy who's like "we're spending twice what the next city over is spending on cops." Never seen someone who actually cared about taxes go after cops before anywhere near here. Also wonderin' if he got intimidated by them. He said he changed his mind and didn't think he'd have the time to do it.
Hell city. The mayoral candidates are similarly bad, though I don't think that Glen Murray would be terrible. (though I haven't kept up, did he get a SA accusation? )
At least we can be relatively sure that the provincial government is going to get kicked out next year :shrug-outta-hecks:
