Hate to defend a :LIB: but did they actually have far right ties? Everything in the article indicates that this was a desparate campaign ploy from their competitor.

His team is overrun with Republican consultants whose clients include: Oregon Right to Life PAC, Ted Cruz and Marjorie Taylor Greene. Gonzalez’s campaign manager, Shah Smith, is a Republican.

As far as I can tell from the article all of those except maybe the last thing are false and just made up by his competitor. When asked to identify the people who worked on these campaigns she couldn't do it, the only republican serving organizations were mailing services. Again, I have no stake in defending anyone here cause it's a race between libs, but I also want to push against cheap politics masking itself as "direct action"

His opponent, Hardesty, is the only person with halfway-decent politics on city council, and she's gonna get washed because of "give the cops more money" fear-mongering.

      This seems fishy for sure:

Last night we got a call from the police informing us they had picked up ‘chatter’ indicating a group gathered for a ‘direct action protest’ had identified our office as a target. When I arrived this morning at 7 a.m. our doors and windows had been smashed in

Bullshit that the police picked up "chatter," contacted the campaign, and then no one did anything else about it. None of that happened, certainly not that way.

PPB officials told KOIN 6 News the damage to the building with the Gonzalez headquarters is about $8000. There are no suspects and no confirmed motive, but investigators said they “are investigating the possibility of a connection between the “direct action” event and the campaign office vandalism.

A damage estimate on the highest side of reasonable, plus no suspects or motive (what was the content of this "chatter," then?). At least :PIGPOOPBALLS: is getting a paycheck out of this.
