373 items for $8 is fuckin wild, honestly this seems like a great way to completely torpedo your ability to effectively select games by being buried in an avalanche of creations.
I did play A Short Hike which was fun (got it free on EGS) but have not heard of any of the other ones. Maybe these are like, real actual indie indie games and if I play them people on mastodon will think I am cool.
I wish there was a way to filter out visual novels when sorting through the stuff in the bundle. I respect the art form but it's not the sort of thing I'm ever looking for
There's a website that you can use to filter these bundles if you want. Already has this one added to it: https://randombundlegame.com/
It has ZeroRanger which is a 10/10 videogame for cheaper than the Steam price so try that as well
Oh oh, An Outcry fucks, cool dark Earthbound-like ft depressed nonbinary protagonist, racist birds and extremely leftist vibes. I embarrassed myself in front of the creator once, 10/10 would recommend.
Lucah Born of a Dream is meant to be good too. Between those ($8 is cheaper than both on sale) and everything everyone else has mentioned, this is very worth buying and sifting through.
Also there is an "HRT Sim 2023" in here. Can't wait for the 2024 update.
I haven't played a lot of these but Wandersong is a lovely, cuddly, colourful, feel good platformer about singing where you play as a cute little Bard that sings along to a great soundtrack to do things.
Coffee Talk is a great little visual novel / barista based light puzzle game that's really well written and I really liked despite not usually being into fantasy trappings and fantasy creates but modern times even less.
