Nestled in a dense forest, the Ukrainian military base appears abandoned and destroyed, its command center a burned-out husk, a casualty of a Russian missile barrage early in the war. But that is above ground. Not far away, a discreet passageway descends to a subterranean bunker where teams of Ukrainian soldiers track Russian spy satellites and eavesdrop on conversations between Russian commanders. On one screen, a red line followed the route of an explosive drone threading through Russian air d
Now that the Ukraine war is no longer winnable, they don't need to prop up a propaganda regime as much anymore. That's my guess anyway. You see that quite often in liberal democracies actually. While an event is going on, the propaganda is at full blast. Once it's done and there is no longer a political threat from the event, the assessment becomes far more sober and realistic (within limits)
Pure conjecture here:
Probably to get ahead of the line if Russia is about to start uncovering them, so they can spin it as something good.
And/Or so they can throw their hands up and be like "Well see, we tried guys but Ukraine just couldn't do it. Look at all we gave and did for them and they still lost. We didn't do anything wrong it was Ukraine's failure, not ours. "
Because libs support this. No one has had more affinity for the alphabet agencies than libs lately. They think it's a good thing to impose their will on other people, and why wouldn't it be, It's worked out for them so far. The decay has started but these people will still party as it goes down.
I wonder why they're all of a sudden admitting this.

That seems like the most plausible explanation, also lets them get ahead of the story before Russia starts talking about it I guess.

that seems like the most plausible reason
