Given the news about Alexa’s failure, I thought I’d share this essay I found today which is more relevant than ever. The sheer waste of resources and human potential needed to power something as functionally and economically useless as Alexa is utterly grotesque. I don’t want to sound like a crank, but the folks responsible should face a tribunal for their crimes against the natural world.
