I went to this room the other day with a friend of mine and I couldn't wait to go back to try it out with some different music. See the link down in the edit for a better idea of the scale of this thing. The rooms schtick is that it has these big orbs that react to music. You can play any music you want, and you can adjust how the orbs react. I thought these three Mars Volta songs from their newest album would be really cool to see in this room. Well, even though my computer was struggling to record this, I think it still turned out really cool. So enjoy. Post your favorite moments if you have any.
:cat-vibing:
Song list is (approximately):
0:00-3:00 - Blacklight Shine
3:00-6:15 Graveyard Love
6:15-9:45 Shore Story

^This is from the other day. I decided to upload it to help give an idea of what it's like in the headset.
Edit: Edit: The room is called AudioOrbs by Kilerbomb. Linky> https://vrchat.com/home/launch?worldId=wrld_5edb4d7d-2400-49f8-bae1-a8eb48a258e2
Meta looks like something from the early aughts compared to VR chat.
It's not even a comparison. Which is sad because the quest is actually a really good device. The ability to airlink them to a PC for pcvr is such an under appreciated/talked about feature that makes the quest 2 a real contender. Hopefully as meta implodes, oculus will be salvaged somehow.
Yeah. My friend and I have a weekly get together where we watch the newest episode of drawfee, and then spend the next few hours hopping from room to room. There are some incredible rooms, like this one. And the game is free besides the need for VR. A quest is good enough, tho rooms like this are pcvr only.
You might need to spend some time in game. I think some rooms will only show up once you played enough to not be a "tourist" or whatever it's called. Otherwise, we just look at what's popular and trending.
Yeah essentially. But it's in 3d space and happening right in front of you.
Excellent choice for songs. Now do Frances the Mute and report back on the status of your psyche.
I listened to Roulette Dares (my fav from deloused) and the transitions in and out of the jazz sections were :chefs-kiss: I'll definitely be checking out some stuff from Francis tomorrow. I had no idea how this thing would handle music like this and I was pleasantly surprised with the results. When we messed around with it the other day all we played was EDM.
Godspeed, you black emperor. Also, you should probably try Godspeed! You Black Emperor.
Hahaha I just found out a few days ago. It's so good. I sat through the whole album twice for this recording and I loved every second of it.
Kind of reminds me of the one time I took acid and demerol together
