I :100-com:% get the intention, twitter sucks and is owned by a donkey, but it’s a major website and this new rule is not user friendly for anyone who only occasionally visits hexbear.

I also don’t see how guests who show up for AMAs would know to not do this? Dropping your twitter URL is a pretty standard way to plug your work.

Nitter should be encouraged, but unless hexbear auto-converts all twitter.com URLs to nitter.net, this is just busy work for both mods and users.

Just my two cents as a rando who pops back in every couple weeks to see what’s up and shitpost until I burn out again. Respect and solidarity to everyone doing the work to keep hexbear going.
