‘It’s like they’re testing it on us': Portland protesters say tear gas has caused irregularities with their periods

Some protesters believe the tear gas is doing more than causing red eyes and seething skin. OPB interviewed 26 protesters, ranging in age from 17 to 43, who said they believe routine exposure to tear gas has caused irregularities within their menstrual cycle.

Heads up to anyone participating in or near protests - there is evidence to suggest tear gas may cause changes to the menstrual cycle. Including to people taking testosterone or on birth control.
