Do some math on profits for major companies/# of employees. My old company was making a yearly profit of nearly a million dollars per employee.
For those who are curious, the SEC publishes financial disclosure forms, mostly 10-K, for publicly traded American corporations
Much easier to just Google the company stock and view financials on stock websites

The SEC site occasionally has some addit stuff, but usually companies self publish their own financials. Just nice to have a central repository as well
I think about how lots of the “big box chain” stores do that it. It’s vile stuff man.

It's a little bit disheartening to not hear them discuss agricultural workers in the global South who are hyper-exploited by nestle. Like, you are making a pittance at $12/hour and doing all of the finishing labor, but they are making less than $0.50/hour and doing brutal physical labor outdoors for much longer shifts.
It's vital that the global North coffee labor movement recognize and advocate for the global South workers their industry relies upon. Anything less is the most vulgar kind of labor aristocracy.
