just kidding ily comrades :heart-sickle:

I do care about you and your privacy though, so if you have your own reservations, whatever they may be, Bromite may mitigate those reservations and offer a compelling alternative. It handles the same as chromium because it is chromium, with all Google telemetry ripped out, and with ad blocking, along with several other handy visible and invisible features, built in.

Downloads can be found here or here, make sure to click the most recent release (at the time of writing that is v108.0.5359.156) if you're getting the apk from github. Most newer Android phones want the arm64_ChromePublic.apk build, if your phone is older you may need to get the arm_ChromePublic.apk build, but try arm64 first. Automatic updates should be on so you only have to dig around in releases once. For the initiated, they have an F-Droid repo as well, if anyone is curious but doesn't know how to set it up themselves let me know and I'll post instructions.

(yes, the github and website have Ukraine propaganda, tragically sometimes imperialist libs make good software)

Saved! Firefox has a wonky implementation PWA implementation, prob its only downside so I will probably use Bromite exclusively for hexbear

I actually use both a mixture of Bromite and Firefox Nightly with Firefox Focus thrown in for opening links I don't want in my history.

Bromite is considerably faster and has a decent adblock to make the Internet navigable. Firefox on the other hand has full extension support and history sync with pc.

It only works on the Nightly Build and you have to follow https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2020/09/29/expanded-extension-support-in-firefox-for-android-nightly/

I tried it for one or two extensions once and it worked but I don't really use any extensions on mobile except Ublock and Dark Reader
