Tata Steel 2023 is the first big chess tournament of the year. And as usual the organizers did a great job bring a mix of the strongest GM on the planet like Magnus, So and Fabi and a mix of amazing young talents like Gukesh and Keymer.

The biggest news going in, is world #2 (and future #1) GM Ding Liren returning to international over the board chess.

I am late on making this post as the games started yesterday and day two games are finishing up right now. But I wanted to make a quick post to remind :xigma-male: Ding fans he is playing.

Being a classical tournament I do not have the skill or time to recap many of the games but Ding/Gukesh from day 1 was a banger.
