removal of downvotes is great because it forces people who disagree to actually engage with what they disagree with and as a result discourse happens, otherwise most people would just throw an angry downvote and move on.
Indeed. I really hope we can move away from the up/downvote system in the future.
A slashdot system, with vote options such as "Informative", "Funny", etc, with negative options such as "Bad faith", "trolling" etc, would be so much better
