I always wonder why more subways don't have barriers alongside the tracks like this. It's probably just a cost thing but having a big glaring opening where a giant fuck-off steel train comes barrelling down the tracks every five minutes seems like a bit of a safety liability.

I know that in Vancouver it seems like every other week some poor mf having a mental health episode will jump onto the tracks. It just seems to be so easily avoided.
